You can use "Resize" feature to extend a partition only when there is unallocated space behind this partition. If you cannot shrink the partition that nexts to the system partition, you need to shrink another data partition and move the unallocated space to the end of the system partition. If there is enough free space in the first data partition, please refer another page how to resize partition to exend the system partition.
Step by step instructions to move partitions:
There is 10GB unallocated space, the goal is to move it to the end of Partition C.
Step 1: Right-click Partition G and select "Move", in the pop-up window, click this unallocated space and click "Next".
Step 2: This unallocated space will be moved to the front of Partition G automatically, you may also drag Partition G. Click "OK".
You'll find the unallocated space was moved to the end of Partition C, very easy.
Now you can use "Resize" feature to extend the system C: drive without data loss.
Another choice to move partition without losing data (much cheaper than Acronis)
